Check Apple Health for Health Island

If Health Island finds none or only part of your movement data, first check access and the records in the Health app.

Check access in Health

  1. Open Health on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Under Privacy, open Apps.
  4. Choose Health Island.
  5. Allow read access to Steps and Active Energy.

Check that data exists

Search Health for Steps and Active Energy and open both sections. Confirm that current entries are present. Permission alone does not mean Apple Health has recorded data for that period.

What the message means

  • No Health data found: neither steps nor active energy was available.
  • Active energy missing: steps were found, but active energy was not.
  • Steps missing: active energy was found, but steps were not.

Health Island cannot tell whether access is disabled or the period simply has no records, so check both in Health.

Open Health Island again

The app reads again when opened. If a circular arrow appears, use it to retry. Existing data and finds remain.

Only active energy shows 0 kcal?

See the active energy guide for additional iPhone and Apple Watch checks.

Missing older data on iOS 27?

If access is limited to the last 30 days, an older or restored island may lack earlier history. See the Apple Health history guide. Existing finds remain.

Still no data?

Email [email protected] with the visible message and app version, but no health values.
